Prints
All of the images on this website are available for sale as original archival quality prints (unmounted) & all of the prints are produced via a professional processing laboratory.
Each print will include a 1/2" border on each side, so as to assist in mounting. This will prevent any of the image area being lost. Therefore, prints will actually be an inch longer & wider, for example a 12" x 9" print will actually be 13" x 10" (including border).
Limited Edition Prints - an opinion:
Simply put, I just don't do them! I cannot understand how a print which is numbered "1" is any more (or less) valuable than a print numbered "50", when the process of producing the print costs me the same on each occasion. Therefore,all of my images will be available, all of the time & with the price as stated.
At present, prints will be supplied on the following types of photographic papers:
Kodak Endura Metallic
My personal favourite,this paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background.Many photographers have described this effect as “chrome on paper.”
Ilford High Gloss (Ilfoflex)
This paper is an extremely high gloss paper,with a melonex base & produces stunning results.The high colour saturation, deep blacks and brilliant whites provide for excellent colour and tone reproduction and optimum gradation from the brightest highlights to the deepest shadows.
*Please Note
Both the Kodak Endura Metallic & the Ilford High Gloss papers should be handled with care (fingerprints!), due to the super glossy qualities involved. It is highly recommended that mounting & framing should be performed by a professional framer in each case.
The photographic papers described here, have superb archival qualities & under standard indoor lighting conditions should give 70-100 years light fading resistance.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your print, I will gladly provide a replacement, or a full refund (minus postage & packing).
